NIL Disclosures
Last updated: August 2026
Name, Image, and Likeness (“NIL”) rules allow student athletes to be compensated for the use of their name, image, and likeness under certain conditions. This page explains how Pathway2College approaches NIL and what athletes and families should know.
General Information, Not Legal Advice
The information on this Site and in our workshops is general guidance only. It is not legal, tax, or compliance advice. NIL rules change often and vary by state, by athletic association, and by school.
Compliance Is the Athlete’s Responsibility
Athletes and families are responsible for following all applicable rules, including those of the NCAA, NAIA, or NJCAA, state law, and the athlete’s own school or conference. Before entering into any NIL agreement, confirm that it is permitted for your situation.
How Pathway2College Supports NIL
We help athletes build a professional presence and understand the recruiting landscape. We do not act as an agent, and we do not negotiate or manage NIL deals on your behalf unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.
No Guarantee
We do not guarantee NIL opportunities, offers, or income. Any figures or examples shared are for illustration only.
Confirm Before You Sign
We recommend that every athlete confirm the specifics of any NIL opportunity with their school compliance office and, where appropriate, a qualified attorney, before agreeing to anything.
